Formulated to be diluted 100:1 and suitable for both hand spraying and for use in automated car wash machines, Black Diamond Rinse Aid is the fastest, easiest and most cost effective way of thoroughly drying and preventing water spotting, while leaving a high gloss and durable protective coating. It is fully compatible with all other wax and sealant products and fully over-coatable. Black Diamond Rinse Aid was launched in late 2022 and has proved to be a popular product throughout all segments of the professional car care market. However at the beginning of 2024 our chemical engineers began working on a couple of key improvements to the formula and we have been manufacturing the improved formula through most of the year, where it has exclusively been rebranded by some of the higher end detailing brands and has quickly become a best seller.
The improvements began by forming a micro-emulsion as opposed to the macro-emulsion found with the old formula. This means the suspended microscopic droplets within the product are much smaller, providing an almost clear solution with a higher degree of stability and resistance to cold weather storage, as well as helping to form a more uniformly dispersed layer of product on the vehicle surface.
The improved formula also provides a more effective and durable secondary sealant on the vehicle surface, giving more pronounced water run off when the vehicle is re-wetted. The 'wax' coating left on the vehicle is now longer lasting as a result, typically providing several weeks of water beading, gloss and paint protection.
Our Rinse Aid is an electrically charged, so called ceramic coating with reduced hydrophobicity. This improves drying by helping to form larger water droplets which run off easier, where a typical ceramic coating would leave hundreds of small water droplets and beads after rinsing.
The permanent positive charge is the key to our formula and the reason it remains so effective once diluted to just 1%. Most surfaces on a vehicle such as bodywork, glass and the metal undercarriage naturally hold a slight negative electrical charge, so by positively charging the hydrophobic molecules in the product they are attracted to the vehicle away from the neutrally charged water with which they are sprayed. The attraction between the molecules and the vehicle surface provides instant penetration and displacement of the existing water film. Because the molecules selectively attract to the vehicle, a small amount goes a long way! 5 Litres of product is enough to create 500 litres of sprayable coating!
Adding shine and protection really doesn't get easier than by using a rinse aid or rinse wax product and our formula has been created to provide far improved coating performance over a traditional drying aid and does so much more than just help with drying. It can even be used as a regular underbody corrosion inhibitor. Simply dilute ready for use and spray over entire vehicle before or after rinsing. No buffing required.
